For those who haven't yet made the much-recommended visit to this hilly province, here's a rare opportunity to sample authentic and traditional Kodava delicacies closer home, especially the Pandi kari (traditionally prepared Coorg pork curry), kadambuto (rice balls made out of coarsely powdered rice) and aki yotis (rice bread) that makes up the staple diet of Kodavas.

The food served at Hillyside is essentially a Koala cuisine, breakfast includes kadambuto, aki rotis and Coorg honey that compromise a typical Kodava breakfast and bread, toast, eggs, jam make up the continental style served at Hillyside.
Tea/coffee will also be served.

A non-vegetarian meal costs Rs 135 per head which includes rotis, rice, dhal, vegetable of your choice and a meat dish (either chicken or pork).
Vegetarian:
A vegetarian meal costs Rs110 per head that includes rotis, rice, dhal, and vegetable of your choice. For the above rates the quantities served are adequate.
